Summa Theologica of the Irrefragable Doctor Alexander of Hales of the Order of Friars Minor, Volume 3: Second Part of the Second Book
Doctoris Irrefragabilis Alexandri de Hales Ordinis Minorum Summa Theologica, Tomus III: Secunda Pars Secundi Libri
The third volume of the Quaracchi critical edition of the Summa Theologica of Alexander of Hales (also known as the Summa Halensis), prepared by the Fathers of the Collegium S. Bonaventurae and published at Quaracchi (Florence) in 1930. This volume contains the second part of the second book (Secunda Pars Secundi Libri), comprising treatises on evil, sin, and the vices — including spoliatio gratuitorum, original sin, the capital vices, and the question of simony. A monumental thirteenth-century Franciscan synthesis assembled from the writings of Alexander and his school.
