Fourth Book of the Sentences of John Major (Second Edition)

The second edition (Redactio B) of John Major's commentary on the Fourth Book of Peter Lombard's Sentences, published in Paris on 22 November 1516 by the press of Josse Bade (Jodocus Badius Ascensius). Described on the title page as "denuo recognitae et majoribus formulis impressae" (newly revised and printed in larger type), this edition represents Major's final revision of his treatment of the sacraments, covering distinctions on baptism, confirmation, the Eucharist, penance, extreme unction, orders, matrimony, and simony.
